Chris Graham has been working in the outdoor service industry for well over 25 years. Chris joined Eric at BlackWater nearly 6 years ago now and their partnership is the perfect match. Prior to that, Chris owned a lawn care firm, but it was at that time he started working in concrete, nearly by accident!
He purchased a new construction home and he decided he needed a patio, driveway extension, and basketball court. Using some of his lawn care crew’s expertise, he was able to design and build his own outdoor concrete areas and was immediately bombarded by friends and neighbors who also had concrete project requests.
Chris decided then that he wanted to expand his business into outdoor living spaces, and so he started down the track of obtaining the necessary education to become more knowledgeable about the design and build of concrete, decorative concrete, and concrete products. He’s been in love with concrete ever since! He loves the aspect of decorative concrete design, so he will be happy to provide guidance and suggestions on how to best utilize your outdoor space.
Chris grew up in Loudoun County and has been living in Winchester with his wife, Penny, since 1988 and they have three adult children. His favorite non-work activity is cheering for the ‘Skins (sometimes that’s a good thing!), playing basketball, and spending time in Barker NY, on Lake Ontario, weather permitting!

Matt Cvechko previously worked in interior concrete floor construction, and has become BlackWater’s interior flooring specialist. He joined BlackWater over six years ago and takes this family business very seriously and while there may be a bit of sibling rivalry with Eric, it is always all in good fun!
In addition to the interior work, Matt has responsibility to ensure scheduled jobs get started and completed on time, and the whole of the business is running smoothly each day.
On his days off, Matt enjoys any and all outdoor activities including backpacking and hiking. And during football and basketball season, you can find Matt passionately cheering on the WVU Mountaineers. And, he loves any opportunity to spend time with his black lab, Frank.

Donna Hughes joined the Blackwater family in 2015, and is working hard every day to keep Eric and Chris straight! She is our office manager, and will often be the person you talk to about invoicing questions or concerns, scheduling, and/or maintenance issues. She lives in Winchester and is mom to Joseph.
When she’s not in the office, you can find Donna Jean serving her local church by organizing the Children’s Ministry areas. During the warmer months she enjoys anything outdoors, especially hiking, horseback riding, exploring new areas and spending her time doing all the things moms do!
Cool spring nights are perfect for making memories around a new fire pit! This setup makes us want to toss off our shoes, pull up a chair and just relax.
We love the circular shape, the medium depth, but mostly we love how the stone is broken up with thinner stones in between and how there’s a nice, big surrounding area for friends and family. This fire pit is simple, but looks great because of the way it complements the stonework around it.

Jesus Arroyo has been working in the concrete construction industry for over 20 years. He started as a laborer and eventually worked his way up through the ranks so he is intimately aware of all the phases of a pour and what it takes to make a project successful.
BlackWater has become increasingly known for our high quality of production and Jesus makes that possible. Not only is he the crew foreman, but in general, he is the go-to guy for all construction related questions! He has been with BlackWater for over six years now.
If Jesus is not working (which is rarely ever the case!), he can be found playing soccer and spending time on outings with his family.
